Job summary

Prevail Recruiting has partnered with a long-established architecture firm in Downtown Los Angeles to add an experienced Senior Job Captain to its growing team. This full-time, on-site role offers a base salary of $100,000–$140,000 plus bonus.

You will work directly with senior architects and clients, developing designs through construction documents, coordinating with consultants, and driving projects toward independent ownership while maintaining hands-on technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related architectural discipline.
• 3-5+ years of professional Job Captain or comparable architectural experience.
• Strong knowledge of California building codes and accessibility requirements.
• Experience producing and coordinating complete construction document sets.
• Ability to coordinate with architects, engineers and outside consultants.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate architectural drawing sets from design development through construction documents.
• Produce and manage project documentation using Revit.
• Coordinate drawings with structural, MEP and other consultants.
• Review plans, details and specifications for accuracy and constructability.
• Respond to RFIs and assist with submittals and shop drawing reviews.
• Participate in entitlement, permitting and agency coordination.
• Apply California Building Code and local codes.
• Assist with construction administration and field issue resolution.
• Quality control reviews of project documents.
• Coordinate project schedules and deliverables.
• Mentor junior architectural staff and participate in meetings.
