Job summary

Intetics is seeking a JavaScript Developer to join its team and contribute to a web-based AI assessment platform. The role involves building, debugging, and maintaining software with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and related technologies.

You will work with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and help ensure high-quality delivery in an e-Learning domain. Some travel to Los Angeles may be requested as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of commercial development experience.
• Strong background in pure JavaScript.
• Experience building dynamic web applications with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, SQL, and Ajax.
• Solid problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience working on cross-browser platforms.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, quick learner.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, maintain, and test software applications.
• Integrate new features and tools using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, SVG, SQL, XML, JSON and other languages.
• Review work for accuracy against business requirements.
• Follow SDLC, QA, performance optimization processes.
• Defend code and patterns in code reviews.

About the Project:

The product is a web-based, artificially intelligent assessment and learning system. It uses adaptive questioning to quickly and accurately determine what a student knows or doesn’t know in a course.

Ground-breaking technology was developed by a team of software engineers, mathematicians, and cognitive scientists with the support of a multi-million-dollar grant from the National Science Foundation.

The system instructs the student on the topics he/she is most ready to learn. As a student works through a course, the system periodically reassesses the student to ensure that the issues learned are also retained. The learning courses are very complete in their topic coverage and avoid multiple-choice questions. A student who shows a high level of mastery of a system will be successful in the actual course he/she is taking.

The process is predictable and well-planned. SCRUM is used as a methodology.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, debug, maintain, and testing of software applications;

Integrate new features and tools into the product, including features and tools developed by others, using such computer languages as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, SVG, SQL, XML, JSON, and other general-purpose computer languages;

Review and accurate development against business requirements;

Follow established processes including SDLC, QA, performance optimization, and others

Defend code and applied patterns in code reviews;
