Sigma Defense Systems LLC is seeking a Senior Software Developer to support on-site software development for the PMA290 SSA in Patuxent River, MD. The role requires a U.S. citizen with an active security clearance or ability to obtain one, and a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/computer science field.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of software developer experience.
• 5-8 years experience developing JAVA applications.
• 5-8 years developing and deploying code in Linux (RHEL preferred) environments.
• 0-2 years experience creating containerized microservice applications.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of JAVA applications supporting either large enterprise TOMS application or smaller microservice ABA applications.
• Support deployment and integration of applications through knowledge of RHEL execution environments, including a solid understanding of Linux CLI commands.
• Understanding and use of containerized applications and hypervisors for ABA application hosting.
• Create scripting solutions and standalone applications to resolve smaller scale problems and support SSA requests.
• Assist in on-going implementation of the Agile Development methodology.
• Support all efforts to remove impediments of the engineering team to ensure on time delivery and completion of sprints and deliverables.
• Support the development, design, and architecture recommendations for current and future PEO C4I Software (SW) and hardware (HW) baselines.
