Role: Senior Java Resource with SOA Experience

Duration: Contract to hire

Location: Arlington, VA (Locals Preferred)

Only GC and Citizens

The qualified candidate must possess the ability to translate business requirements to web or software development concepts, perform hands‑on coding, and understand the architecture of applications. The candidate will assist a manager in translating user testing and customer support feedback into technical requirements. A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required. Creativity, latitude, and leadership are expected.

Requirements

• Java, J2EE, EJB, JSP; experience with frameworks such as Struts 1/2, Spring, and Hibernate.
• SOA experience is a must.
• Experience with SQL and databases like Oracle, IBM DB2, or MS‑SQL Server.
• Experience with Ruby is a plus.
• Familiarity with mobile development (iPhone, Android, Blackberry) and app store provisioning is a big plus.
• Familiarity with new software development paradigms such as NoSQL, memorcache, and Amazon Web Services is a big plus.

Candidate should be flexible to attend an in-person interview after the telephonic round.
