Akkodis is seeking a Java Software Engineer for a contract role in Austin, TX/Sunnyvale, CA. Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications and microservices using Spring Boot, with AWS and Kubernetes experience.

The role focuses on building RESTful APIs, managing MongoDB models, and delivering cloud-native solutions with CI/CD pipelines. 8–10 years of Java experience required; rate is $56–$60 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Eng or related field.
• 8–10 years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong expertise in Core/Advanced Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, MongoDB.
• Experience deploying cloud-native apps on AWS, with Kubernetes & CI/CD familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications and microservices using Spring Boot.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and web services for high-performance distributed apps.
• Develop and manage MongoDB data models for efficient storage and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes deployments for automated software delivery.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance performance, security, and scalability.
