Coderio in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area seeks a Senior Java Microservices Developer for a contract engagement. You will own the design, development, and delivery of a suite of event-driven microservices running on AWS.

Qualifications

• 8+ years backend Java experience
• 2+ years in microservices and event-driven systems
• Deep Java 17+ and Spring Boot/Spring Cloud experience
• AWS production experience with DynamoDB, Kinesis, SQS, SNS, KMS, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, Lambda, IAM, and RDS
• AI-assisted development experience and tool familiarity

Responsibilities

• Backend Architecture & Execution: design, build, test, deploy Spring Boot microservices.
• Distributed Systems & Event-Driven Flows: publish/subscribe messaging and saga/orchestration.
• API Design & Integration: REST APIs, webhooks, and subscription APIs with versioning.
• Cloud-Native Engineering: CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code on AWS.
• Operational Excellence: observability with New Relic, Datadog, OpenTelemetry.
• Advanced AI & Agentic Workflows: integrate LLMs and ensure AI safety and governance.
