Job summary
PNC is seeking a Software Engineer Sr within the Retail Technology - Text Banking organization. Based in multiple locations including Strongsville, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, Dallas, TX and Birmingham, AL, the role focuses on designing, coding, testing, and deploying software solutions using Java, J2EE, and microservices.
Requirements include experience with Kafka, Oracle Database, Logscale, Dynatrace, OpenShift, and Spring Boot.
Qualifications
- Successful candidates must demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a software role.
- 3+ years of relevant/ direct industry experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Certifications are often desired; education/experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Responsibilities
- Provides detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
- Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs.
- Writes code, tests and deploys software.
- Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
- Maintains and debugs software.
