Job summary

Accord Technologies Inc. is seeking a Sr. Java Lead Software Engineer to join our Chicago team for a contract ENGAGEMENT.

Qualifications

Minimum 12 years of experience designing and developing software in Java.
Minimum 3 years of experience leading geographically disbursed teams – at least 8 people.
Strong Java 17 proficiency.
Backend development is essential; must have experience building robust services.
Experience with RESTful web services.
AWS knowledge including IAM, Kinesis, DynamoDB, API stack, SQS, SNS, KMS.
Slick SQL queries; data handling and optimization.
DevOps practices and processes; deployment, monitoring, and automation.
Experience with high availability and reliable solutions; some architecture leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead development and support groups; provide technical leadership and guidance.
Mentor junior developers and drive best practices across the team.
Tackle complex programming and system issues with minimal supervision.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business valuable features.
Perform integration and customer acceptance testing with planning for quality results.
Contribute to architecture decisions and promote code reuse and standards.
