Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing and maintaining real-time data streaming apps with Java and Kafka.
• Strong Java core concepts: multi-threading, concurrency, and collections.
• Deep Kafka knowledge: Streams, ZooKeeper, and Schema Registry.
• Experience with microservices and integrating Kafka with systems.
• Databases and data warehousing knowledge (PostgreSQL, Oracle) is preferred.
• Spring framework expertise (Spring Boot, Spring JPA) and ORM experience.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Data pipeline development: design, build, and maintain real-time streaming pipelines with Kafka and Java.
• Kafka application development: create producer and consumer apps including microservices.
• System integration: connect Kafka with various databases and data sources.
• Performance optimization: monitor and optimize Kafka cluster performance, topics, and brokers.
• Maintenance and support: upgrade and troubleshoot existing Kafka implementations.
• Security and compliance: implement measures to protect data streams and meet standards.
