Job summary

Valiant Technologies LLC in Chicago is seeking an experienced software engineer to join enterprise teams. You will deliver microservices and cloud-native solutions with a focus on Java backends and React-based storefronts.

The role involves hands-on work across the stack: Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift on AWS, data integration, API design, and automated testing with JUnit, Mockito, Postman, and Playwright. You’ll support digital transformation and platform migration while upholding secure coding

Qualifications

3+ years delivering microservices and cloud-native solutions in complex enterprise environments.
8+ years of software engineering with at least 5 years developing enterprise-grade Java applications.
Experience in large-scale commerce, retail, digital transformation, or platform migration programs.
Experience on AI solutions and React-based storefronts using TypeScript.

Responsibilities

Develop React-based storefronts using TypeScript and modern state-management patterns.
Build interfaces between UDP and retained enterprise platforms, including OMS, ERP, payments, loyalty, catalog, search, and content services.
Build containerized applications using Docker and deploy workloads to Kubernetes/OpenShift environments on AWS.
Execute data mapping, conversion, synchronization, reconciliation, migration rehearsals, cutover, and hypercare activities.
Create unit, component, API, integration, UI, and regression automation using JUnit, Mockito, Postman, and Playwright.
