Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Software Engineer/Principal Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Java-based software for NASIC mission systems at Wright-Patterson AFB. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across software, systems, and storage domains.

The job requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a TS/SCI clearance. It offers growth in a respected defense program and exposure to next-gen cyber/air systems in a multi-disciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 2 years software development experience OR Master's degree in STEM with 3+ years.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Active Counter-Intelligence (CI) Polygraph.
• 2+ years Java development experience (core Java, JEE, Spring).
• Experience with OO design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Ability to work in a SCIF and follow security procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based software for NASIC mission systems.
• Implement new features and enhance existing capabilities using modern Java frameworks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects and performance issues across environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and test procedures.
