RE Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Java Engineer to join our engineering team in a hybrid role based in New York. You will work on low-latency, high-throughput backend systems, delivering secure payment workflows, and guiding architecture decisions.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in Java performance optimization, strong Spring and MongoDB expertise, and hands-on experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes on AWS. Excellent communication and mentorship are essential.

Formación

• 10+ years of Java development focused on performance and memory optimization.
• Proficient with MongoDB, Spring, and microservice-based architecture.
• Experience with low-latency, high-throughput applications (sub-millisecond response times a plus).
• Hands-on deployment on OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.
• Strong AWS experience (ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3).
• Strong communication and bias toward action and opinionated design decisions.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and optimize low-latency, high-throughput backend systems in Java.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices for secure payment workflows.
• Work with messaging standards used in financial transactions.
• Deploy, monitor, and scale applications in OpenShift and AWS.
• Integrate with MongoDB and other data stores for real-time data.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Product, and QA to ensure production-grade solutions.
• Drive architectural changes and mentor peers.
• Drive performance tuning, fault tolerance, and observability improvements.
