Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, build, and enhance enterprise applications for high-volume, low-latency processing. You will contribute to distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs, using Java 17+ and modern frameworks.

Role requires on-site work in Lake Mary, FL, with a W2 engagement and benefits. You will design scalable solutions, participate in the full SDLC, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while ensuring performance and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of software development in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on Java 17+ and modern development practices.
• Experience with enterprise apps, distributed systems, and microservices.
• Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST API development.
• SQL and Oracle or other relational databases.
• Experience with PySpark, Snowflake, or similar data tech.
• Knowledge of architecture, scalability, observability, and performance.
• Automated testing with JUnit/Cucumber.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Preferred: Kafka/MQ, Docker/Kubernetes, cloud-native development, AWS/Azure/GCP, NoSQL, Linux scripting, AI-assisted tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise-grade apps for high-volume processing.
• Write clean, maintainable code using Java 17+ and modern frameworks.
• Develop scalable distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
• Translate requirements into effective software solutions.
• Design components, workflows, and integrations for scalability and resiliency.
• Troubleshoot, debug, upgrade applications and services.
• Participate in all SDLC phases and production support.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and design discussions.
• Produce technical docs, BRDs, and SRDs.
• Ensure security, privacy, governance, and compliance standards.
• Promote reuse, cross-platform interoperability, and enterprise integration.
• Collaborate with architects, product teams, data engineers, and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge.
