Job summary

Fanatics Betting & Gaming is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services powering our internal platforms. This role emphasizes full-stack capability with potential work on internal tooling and UI components.

Experience with Salesforce integrations, APIs, and distributed systems is highly valued. The role involves collaborating across Operations, Data, Risk, and Marketing teams, and participating in sprint planning and delivery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with Java.
• Experience building backend services in production.
• API development and integration with other systems.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and service-to-service communication.
• Git-based workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and independent working skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Java-based backend services (Spring Boot or similar).
• Develop scalable services that integrate with Salesforce and other systems.
• Participate in API and data flow architecture discussions.
• Write high-quality tests and ensure observability (logging, metrics).
• Collaborate with UI/UX and backend teams to define API contracts.
