Job summary

Qualifications

3-5+ years of experience developing software with Java 8 or later.
3-5+ years JSP-based web applications.
3-5+ years of JavaScript experience.
Experience using jQuery to maintain web app functionality.
3+ years using NetBeans IDE 8-11 or Eclipse.
Experience maintaining legacy Java EE web applications.
Analyze JSP pages and supporting Java code to identify issues.
Strong debugging skills across Java, JSP, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL.
Ability to write, read, and troubleshoot SQL queries.
Experience using Git with Azure DevOps and creating PBIs, Bugs, Tasks in Azure DevOps.
Ability to create and maintain Adobe PDF Templates.
Analytical and problem-solving skills; professional in enterprise environments.
Preferred familiarity with CA-GEN apps and CABs on z/OS.

Responsibilities

Analyze user and business requirements and modify existing Java/JSP applications.
Analyze JSP, Java classes, JavaScript, and SQL code to identify issues and enhancements.
Troubleshoot legacy web app to determine root causes and performance issues.
Modify and maintain JSP, Java, JavaScript, and jQuery components for new business needs.
Review logic and recommend code improvements for maintainability and performance.
Perform requirements analysis for new development and change requests.
Develop, test, and document software enhancements per standards.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including requirements, design notes, and unit test plans.
Define development estimates and timelines for assigned work.
Participate in Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives.
Collaborate with analysts, developers, testers, and stakeholders to evaluate changes and determine implementation approach.
Resolve technical issues and provide lifecycle support.
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
Apply problem-solving to analyze complex issues and root causes.
Work independently and with minimal supervision.
Maintain professionalism, discretion, and customer service with government stakeholders.
Protect proprietary, sensitive information per security requirements.
Continuously learn new technologies and tools as needed to support program objectives.
