Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. seeks a Senior Java Developer to own both middle-tier server development and presentation-layer tasks. You will work end-to-end from front-end interfaces to database logic, delivering robust, high-performance web applications.

The role requires 5+ years in Java/J2EE and hands-on experience with Spring, RESTful services, and modern JS frameworks. Collaboration across teams and focus on security and scalability are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years developing web-based applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
• Strong experience with Core Java (multi-threading, Executor framework).
• Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate, MyBatis.
• RESTful web services development and integration.
• JavaScript, JSP, CSS, HTML, Angular, and modern JS libraries (e.g., jQuery).
• AJAX, XML/XSLT, and JSON.
• Application servers: JBoss, Apache, Tomcat.
• SQL database design, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot in Agent mode to assist with Java development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality full-stack code.
• Create and execute unit tests; support functional and system integration testing.
• Participate in deployment activities and production support as needed.
• Design and integrate application components for interoperability.
• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, maintainability, and security standards.
