Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications. You will leverage AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Event Bus) and work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include building scalable solutions, optimizing databases with SQL, developing batch processing, conducting code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring quality through testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of Java development experience in product or service environments.
• 3+ years of AWS experience (EC2, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Event Bus).
• 5+ years of experience with relational databases (Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, Hibernate, RESTful API development.
• SC clearance is required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust Java applications meeting business requirements.
• Utilize AWS to build, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions.
• Design, implement, and optimize database schemas and complex SQL queries.
• Develop and manage batch processing systems for large data volumes.
• Ensure code quality through reviews and comprehensive testing.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and developers to deliver software on time.
• Mentor junior developers and promote ongoing learning and excellence.
