Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a Senior Java Developer to modernize a critical government information system. You will upgrade the technology stack, including Java/Python components on Windows VMware, Solr with ZooKeeper, Tomcat, and Oracle 19c integration, while adhering to secure coding practices.

You will collaborate with security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to minimize disruption and document upgrade procedures and configurations. A TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance is required.

Qualifications

Position Summary

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in enterprise Java application development and a proven track record of upgrading complex software infrastructures in secure, regulated environments. The role involves planning and executing upgrades across the technology stack, including Apache Solr with ZooKeeper, Apache Tomcat, Apache Directory Studio, and Java/Python components running on Windows-based VMware infrastructure. Strong knowledge of Oracle 19c database integration, SAP Business Intelligence reporting frameworks, secure coding practices, and upgrading and migrating Solr index data is essential. Experience with PrimeFaces UI framework is a plus. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless upgrades with minimal operational disruption.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
