Job summary

Qualifications

• Senior Java development experience with enterprise applications.

• Hands-on with HTML, CSS, REST, SOAP, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with Linux servers, middleware, and application servers.
• Familiarity with cloud and build/deploy pipelines (AWS, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins).
• Bachelor’s or higher degree with ample relevant experience; certifications may supplement.

Job description

The Senior Java Developer builds and supports enterprise web services in an Agile environment. The successful candidate will work independently, collaborate with project teams, and translate client requirements and operational needs into reliable software.

Qualifications

Required

Java development experience with supported long-term-support JDK releases, such as Java 21 or Java 25, as appropriate to the application platform.

Enterprise Java development experience, including Java EE applications and Jakarta EE modernization.

Experience with HTML, CSS, REST and SOAP web services, Node.js, Angular, and Express.

Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Experience with API and performance testing tools, including SoapUI, Postman, and Apache JMeter.

Ability to meet project objectives and communicate and collaborate effectively.

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 8–12 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience. A doctorate in a technical discipline may also be relevant. Additional experience and/or relevant certifications may be considered in place of a degree.

Experience with JSON, Oracle PL/SQL, and Microsoft T-SQL.

Experience supporting enterprise Java middleware and migrating legacy applications to supported application platforms.

Experience with Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, Oracle WebLogic Server, and Apache HTTP Server.

Experience with AWS technologies.

Experience with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, and Ant for existing build environments.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift.

Experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus Repository, and AWS CloudFormation.

Experience with SonarQube and Tenable and with remediating security findings.

Experience with Java development environments such as Eclipse, Oracle JDeveloper, or Visual Studio Code with Java tooling.

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and application server operations, including WebLogic Scripting Tool and JBoss administration.

Experience delivering software in regulated client environments and working directly with customers.

Existing client-accepted background investigation or access eligibility.
