Job summary

A leading staffing solutions provider is seeking a senior Java developer to replace the system of record application with an in-house developed solution. Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of Java 1.8 and solid experience with memory management, multi-threading, and data structures. This role requires expertise in SQL and Oracle, and familiarity with big data technologies. The ideal candidate will work for a reputable financial company in New York. W2 candidates with no sponsorship required are preferred.

Job Description

• This position is for a senior Java developer working on a project to replace the system of record application with an in house developed application.

Qualifications

Technical Skills:

• In depth knowledge of Java 1.8
• Excellent understanding of:
  memory management
  garbage collection
  multi-threading and asynchronous programming
  In depth knowledge of data structures, sorting, algorithms, parallel programming, and design patterns
• Experience with Cache architecture or Big Data i.e. Coherence, Hbase, Hadoop, etc.
• Experience with Oracle and sound knowledge of using SQL statements, stored procedures and triggers
