Job description

Hansen Talent Group is seeking a Senior Java Developer with extensive experience developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise Java applications. This is a hybrid position in Columbia, SC, requiring onsite work three days per week.

The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for the design, development, and support of complex enterprise applications. This position will primarily focus on Java development, Oracle database updates, production support, and enhancements to existing applications within an Agile/SCRUM environment.

Duties:

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain complex Java applications.
• Support and enhance existing enterprise applications, including troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
• Perform Oracle database development and updates to support application requirements.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs and application solutions.
• Develop application integrations and evaluate the impact of changes across related systems.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers and assist with complex development issues.
• Participate in Agile/SCRUM development activities, code reviews, and application improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Application development or related experience.
• Experience with Spring Framework 3.x, 5.x, and/or 6.x.
• Experience with Hibernate 3.0+.
• Experience with Jenkins and GitHub.
• Experience working within an Agile/SCRUM environment.
• Strong application troubleshooting, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
