Job summary

The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Information Technology, is seeking a contractor for a Senior Java and Boomi Developer based in Atlanta, GA. You will contribute to the Child Welfare technical team, delivering Java/Bo9mi integrations and robust software solutions.

Responsibilities include building Java microservices with Spring Boot, REST APIs, DB integration, and automated testing.

Qualifications

• Experience in Java-based applications, preferably Java 17.
• Design and build microservices using Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Strong database integration with SQL (PostgreSQL/Oracle) and performance tuning.
• Unit and integration testing with JUnit/TestNG/Mockito.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java applications using core Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement microservices and RESTful services.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and web services.
• Integrate with databases (PostgreSQL/ Oracle) and optimize queries.
• Write unit and integration tests (JUnit/TestNG/Mockito).
• Develop SQL queries and analyze data for production issues.
• Implement secure authentication/authorization patterns (OAuth2/JWT).
• Collaborate with DevOps for cloud deployment (AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile sprints (Scrum).
• Use GitHub for source control and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
