Job summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking a Senior Java Big Data Developer to design and develop Java/J2EE web applications with strong JavaScript skills for Risk and Finance dashboards delivering sensitive data to senior management.

The role involves regulatory reporting hub work, workflow, analytics, and front-end development. Requires experience with Spring, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop ecosystem, and enterprise-grade systems in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years software development experience in Java with expert level skill set in Core Java, Spring, Web Services and J2EE.
• Expert level knowledge of Java, Apache Spring, Spark, Kafka, Cloudera Ecosystem (Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Impala, etc.), JSON, XSD, RESTful Web services, design patterns and databases
• 6+ years’ experience in implementing enterprise level Java Development projects. Banking operations professional with knowledge of trade processing flows through regulatory impacts of operational processing

Senior Java Big Data Developer with experience in designing and developing Java/J2EE based web applications with good skills in JavaScript for developmentof Risk and Finance dashboard application that provides sensitive data to senior management. Application involves business process workflow and analytical data, Web front end development using JavaScript. The candidate will be required to work on Regulatory Reporting Hub, which is a Franchise Critical Application which helps Citibank to be compliant with various Regulations across the Global Industry.

• 6+ years’ experience in implementing enterprise level Java Development projects. Banking operations professional with knowledge of trade processing flows through regulatory impacts of operational processing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Compliance or Financial Sector is plus.
• AngularJS, CSS, HTML5, AJAX, JSON, Spring MVC, JavaScript based web application, JavaScript, HTML5, AJAX, JSON, AngularJS, RESTful Web services, design patterns and databases
• Strong technical skills focused on data analysis. Must have experience with mainstream data analysis tools (Excel, Access etc)
• Regulatory Business Knowledge is a plus
• Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, databases and operating systems
• Experience developing high-performance multi-threaded applications
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, AJAX, JSON
• Thorough understanding of server-side integration, Restful, Spring MVC, web services
• Good knowledge of design patterns and providing solutions to complex design issues, identifying and fixing code issues
• Good skills in web servers such as WebSphere, WASND
• Participate and contribute to design, architectural solutions
• Experience with source code management tools such as SVN, Bitbucket
• Critically evaluate the current processing and recommend process efficiencies / enhancements
• Work closely with Technology partners to ensure the Business requirements are met by the development
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong business analytical skills

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
