Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant work experience with BS, or 3+ years with MS
• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
• Experience across full software development life-cycle including design
• Java, JavaScript/TypeScript and scripting languages
• Strong development skills with databases and SQL
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• Familiar with AWS services (S3, ECS, EKS, MSK, VPC, RDS)
• Knowledge of big data technologies (Hive, Spark, Presto, MapReduce, Hadoop)
• Knowledge of Kafka
• Docker and Kubernetes

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, debugs, modifies, tests software programs using Java and scripting languages
• Hands-on Java development, Spring Boot REST/Microservices, AWS
• Document software development and tests per procedures and standards
• Track software development effort in the approved management tool
• Analyze problems and recommend solutions
• Verify requirements, software and systems via engineering practices
• Investigate designs and operating systems and practices

• Documents software development and/or test development by writing documents, reports,memos,change requests. Methods used are determined by approved procedures and standards.
• Tracks software development effort by creating and maintaining records in the approved tracking
  management tool.
• Solves engineering problems by analyzing the situation and recommending corrective or alternative actions.
• Analyzes,evaluates,verifies requirements, software and systems by using software engineering practices.
