Job summary

HeartCentrix Solutions is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, build, and maintain reliable Java applications and services. You will create RESTful APIs, work with relational databases, and ensure code quality through tests and reviews.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, problem solving, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable software solutions. Familiarity with cloud/container tech and DevOps practices is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong experience with Java and object-oriented programming.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
• Strong understanding of SDLC processes.
• Experience with Git/GitHub or similar source control tools.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java applications and services.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Build and support RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Work with databases and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Troubleshoot bugs and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with developers, business teams, QA, and stakeholders.
• Review code and follow development standards and best practices.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure quality.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions.
• Help improve performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
• Document technical solutions and changes.
• Support production applications and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Stay current with new technologies and improve development processes.
