Job summary

Intone Networks Inc. is seeking a Senior Java Azure Cloud Engineer for a 12+ month remote contract. You will design, develop, and deploy Java Spring Boot applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), build RESTful APIs and SOAP services, and integrate Azure services like KeyVault and Application Insights.

You will secure applications with Spring Security and OAuth2, collaborate on CI/CD pipelines, and maintain unit tests with JUnit in production AKS environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on Java Spring Boot experience (v3.5+).
• Proficiency in Java 17 and Java 21.
• Extensive Azure AKS development and Azure services experience.
• Experience deploying RESTful APIs and SOAP in production AKS.
• Knowledge of Spring Security and OAuth2.
• Familiarity with GitLab and modern CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Java Spring Boot applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Build and support RESTful APIs and SOAP web services in production AKS environments
• Integrate Azure services including KeyVault, storage solutions, and Application Insights into application architectures
• Implement Spring Security and OAuth2 authentication patterns to secure applications

Qualifications

Required

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot (version 3.5.x required)
• Strong proficiency in Java 17 and Java 21 development
• Proven Azure Cloud development experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure services as core competencies
• Demonstrated experience deploying and supporting RESTful APIs and SOAP web services in production AKS environments
• Solid understanding of Azure service integration including KeyVault, storage solutions, and Application Insights
• Strong knowledge of Spring Security and OAuth2 authentication patterns
• Strong knowledge of JUnit testing frameworks
