Job summary

The Virginia Employment Commission is seeking a Senior Java Developer to lead all phases of the system development life cycle for complex applications in Henrico. You will design, enhance, and maintain enterprise Java systems, providing technical leadership in integration efforts and ensuring secure, scalable, high‑performing solutions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Java enterprise architecture standards and SDLC.
• Experience architecting Java/J2EE apps with JSP/Servlets.
• Familiar with Spring Core, Spring MVC, Hibernate, SQL Server.
• Proficient in IDEs (Eclipse) and version control (Subversion).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
