Job summary

A leading IT solutions provider is in search of a Sr. Software Engineer / Architect in San Ramon, CA. The role requires 75% coding and 25% architecture, requiring strong communication skills along with backend development/architecture experience. Candidates should possess expertise in cloud technologies, particularly AWS or Azure, and experience with Agile methodologies. This full-time position emphasizes collaboration with product managers and external partners, ensuring innovative solutions that drive success.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns and Java coding principles.
• Hands-on experience in web services (REST, SOAP, WSDL etc.).
• Experience with Big Data / Hadoop and NoSQL Database.
• Expert in Cloud technologies (AWS or Azure).
• Experience in microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Capture system level requirements by brainstorming with Sr. Architects and Product Managers.
• Identify the scope of the work, provide initial estimates and justify with facts.
• Provide guidance to a team of 5 to 7 developers with planning and execution.
• Work with Product Line Leaders to understand product requirements.
• Demonstrate understanding of Agile software development lifecycle.
