Job summary

Citi in Chennai seeks an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst to contribute to design, development and deployment of enterprise-grade applications using Java microservices and modern frontend tech. The role requires collaboration with technology teams to implement Gen AI/Agentic AI solutions in a financial context.

You will mentor junior analysts, ensure coding standards and security, and engage with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable software.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of relevant Apps Development or senior level experience with SME in one or more areas.
• Proven experience in building, leading, delivering complex technology projects from conception to deployment.
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop, implement, and support enterprise-grade applications.
• Knowledge on automating code quality, performance, unit testing, and CI/CD processes.
• Strong frontend using Angular and backend Java microservices with RESTful APIs.
• Familiar with SDLC tools and modern development stacks for enterprise apps.
• Experience in Wealth Management, Retail Banking operations, CRM, financial products and back-office processes.
• Exposure to Gen AI/Agentic AI in finance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, and risk assessment for new applications.
• Monitor all phases of development and provide user/operational support to business users.
• Apply in-depth knowledge to analyze complex problems and evaluate processes against standards.
• Recommend and implement security measures in post-implementation reviews.
• Consult with users and technology groups on issues and install customer-facing exposure systems.
• Ensure procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes.
• Act as advisor or coach to junior analysts; operate with limited supervision.
