Job summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to lead IV&V for an undersea defense automated test set in Middletown, RI. You will own integration and verification strategy across multiple subsystems, coordinating with IPT managers and government stakeholders to ensure successful integration through FCA/PCA and preparation for PDR, CDR, and TRR.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and test engineering teams, mentor junior engineers, and report progress and risks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 9+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Experience leading integration and V&V on a DoD or complex engineering program.
• Familiarity with SETR events (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and FCA/PCA processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to document technical content.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration planning across subsystems (power, fluidics, controls, communications, signal generation/measurement, mechanical domains).
• Oversee subsystem- and system-wide integration testing to ensure cohesive operation.
• Develop and execute detailed V&V plans and test strategies for system integration.
• Prepare technical briefings for government customers, program stakeholders, and leadership.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate work across IPT managers and teams.
• Maintain traceability from system requirements through V&V activities and closure.
