Job summary

CoreCivic in Brentwood, TN is seeking a Senior Systems Specialist to manage end-user incidents and requests, resolve issues, and mentor junior staff. The role requires learning multiple custom business applications and providing timely, effective support from our corporate office.

The position is onsite four days a week, with the expectation to work with the Facility Support Center and IT teams. A degree in Computer Science and several years in service desk and troubleshooting are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Computer Science required.
• Six years of computer troubleshooting experience; four years in Service Desk Support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Exchange/Outlook, user setup and printing.
• Experience with Citrix, Microsoft AD, ITSM (Service-now), Novell ID Management and SCCM preferred.
• CNA or MCS certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum age 18.

Responsibilities

• Set up and distribute network, application, and folder security credentials.
• Provide technical support for the Facility Support Center and CoreCivic facilities.
• Handle calls and escalation to upper level support per policy.
• Resolve issues using remote control software; work on Microsoft server file and print issues.
• Document solutions to incidents and share knowledge with the team.
• Provide on-call support on weekly rotation (approx. every six weeks).
• Identify trends and alert department management of emerging problems.
• Adhere to SLAs for each supported application.
• Manage problem and request tickets; coordinate with Technology Support Center leadership.
• Domestic U.S. travel may be required.
