Job summary

Senior IT Systems Specialist at Clearway Energy Group in Scottsdale, AZ will design, implement, administer and support Operational IT systems, collaborating with stakeholders to improve existing systems and drive continuous improvement. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Power Systems, 3+ years in systems development and power systems software, extensive SCADA/EMS/GMS experience, SDLC proficiency, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Power Systems Engineering required.
  • 3+ years of systems and applications development, configuration, implementation, and support experience required.
  • 3+ years’ experience with an array of software development technologies required.
  • 3+ years’ experience with power systems-related applications in power generation or distribution required.
  • 3+ years of experience with SCADA/EMS/GMS systems required (example: ABB Ranger/Network Manager, OSI Monarch).
  • Must know interfaces, integrations, and process flows.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC and experience in adopting and working in multiple project management methodologies.
  • Intermediate level skills in implementing, supporting, enhancing, and maintaining complex large-scale production-critical applications in Cloud and data center-hosted environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills with a strong focus on customer interaction, customer service, and presentation.
  • A motivated self-starter with the capability to operate on their own with little direction and/or monitoring.
  • Capability to help deliver quality business solutions within restricted timelines while appropriately communicating/escalating risks, issues, or constraints as necessary to business and/or IT management.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, business partners, and other departments.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize organizational skills to execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
  • Ability to read the communication styles of team members, business partners, and contractors from a broad spectrum of disciplines and change the delivery of communication accordingly.

What The Role Is

Reporting to the Manager, Operations IT, the Senior IT Systems Specialist designs, implements, administers, and supports Clearway’s Operational IT systems. Responsibilities include collaborating with business stakeholders to enhance existing systems and contribute to the team and organization’s continuous improvement objectives

This hybrid role will be located in our Scottsdale, AZ office.

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus, subject to personal and company performance goals.

Salary Range Across all U.S. Locations

$110,000 — $120,000 USD
