The ideal candidate will manage Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, monitoring, and disaster recovery, ensuring secure and scalable infrastructure across on-prem and cloud resources.

Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator with deep expertise in Azure Cloud Administration as the primary responsibility area, complemented by working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will bring strong skills in cloud administration, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, and identity management through Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). This role is critical to ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure across hybrid cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Azure Cloud Administration (Primary)

• Provide support for select Azure-based workloads and services.
• Assist with hybrid-cloud initiatives, including integration, workload placement, and cloud migration projects.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Develop, maintain, and optimize Terraform scripts for provisioning and configuration automation.
• Integrate IaC artifacts into CI/CD pipelines for streamlined, repeatable deployments.

Google Cloud Platform Infrastructure Administration (Secondary)

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
• Implement best practices for scalability, security, performance, and cost optimization.
• Administer core Google Cloud Platform services including Compute Engine, VPC, IAM, Cloud Storage, and Network Services.

Identity & Access Management

• Utilize Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for authentication, identity lifecycle, and access governance.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise security policies, compliance frameworks, and governance controls.

System Administration

• Oversee administration of Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and storage systems.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology or related field, and 8 years’ experience required.
• Applicable years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
• Expert in applying IT system principles, concepts, and methods to the infrastructure protection environment.
• Expert in applying information systems security principles and concepts to the enterprise IT architecture.
• Expert in applying new IT developments.
• Expert in applying project management principles and methods.
• Expert in applying interrelationships of multiple IT disciplines.Expert in applying the IT hierarchy.
• Expert in applying, systems security principles, methods, regulations, and policies.
• Expert in applying systems security certification and accreditation requirements and processes.
• Expert in applying information systems security protocols.

Primary Skills:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and administration.
• Advanced experience with Terraform, including automated provisioning, configuration management, and CI/CD integration preferred.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM architectures, and governance practices for large-scale environments preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for identity, authentication, and access control preferred.

Additional Technical Skills

• Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Python, and Bash preferred.
• Understanding of Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration preferred.
• Broad experience with Windows/Linux server administration, virtualization, monitoring tools, backup technologies, and disaster recovery methods preferred.
• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) administration, including Compute Engine, VPC, IAM, Cloud Storage, and networking preferred.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Azure certifications preferred.
• Google Professional Cloud Architect or Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Engineer preferred.
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate preferred.
