Job summary

The California Lottery is seeking an Information Technology Specialist II - Senior Software Developer & Administrator to support BPAS in planning, developing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise IT systems. The role covers Client Services, Software Engineering, IT Project Management, and System Engineering domains and may include other assignments as needed.

Ideal candidates will have ITSM/ITIL expertise, strong backend scripting, API and SQL skills, and experience configuring

Qualifications

• Extensive ITSM tool/platform development and ITIL knowledge.
• Proficiency in backend scripting, web services, API integrations, and SQL.
• Experience developing/configuring ServiceNow scripts, catalog items, workflows, notifications, dashboards, and workspaces for ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, HRSD modules.
• Experience with QA methodology, creating test plans and test cases.
• Experience with IT projects, requirements, and test management tools; use Azure DevOps.
• Ability to document solutions clearly and provide IT consultation.

Responsibilities

• Support BPAS IT operations, planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and support of enterprise IT systems.
• Contribute to client services, software engineering, IT project management, and system engineering activities.
• Plan and execute ITSM/ITOM/ITAM initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Create and maintain quality documentation and user manuals.
• Mentor junior staff and provide IT consultation to business programs.
