Job summary

BuzzClan is seeking a Senior Analyst to serve as the compliance authority and liaison among business partners, technical teams, security groups, and management within Michigan standards. The role ensures alignment with NIST protocols and enterprise security governance.

The position guides stakeholders through complex compliance cycles, drives consistency across applications, and collaborates with vendors, auditors, project managers, and analysts to maintain SSPs and ATO readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cyber security, Information Assurance, Business Analytics, or IT Related Field.
• 5 years of experience or equivalent.
• Master’s in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Information Systems / IT Leadership, or MBA with IT/Security concentration preferred.
• Educational or professional knowledge of NIST Framework and Controls a must.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for maintaining SSPs aligned with NIST and SOM standards.
• Lead ATO renewal planning and materials; manage timelines for approvals.
• Maintain valid ATO on a 3-year cycle; oversee security control updates.
• Review security risk assessments; propose corrective actions.
• Analyze risk and incidents; create management reports and trends.
• Track Plans of Action & Milestones and other compliance requirements; ensure timely closure.
• Provide senior-level support across MDCR, MCSC & MiLEAP; standardize security plan updates.
• Identify gaps in compliance docs; guide corrective actions to meet requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to ensure SSP/ATO evidence is complete.
• Oversee remediation of controls; ensure issues are resolved with stakeholders.
• Identify procedural gaps during renewal cycles; apply best practices.
• Contribute to enterprise security governance; mentor team; drive timely completion of activities.
• Lead mid-to-high level Incident Responses; act as incident response specialist.
