Job summary

Truist Senior Internal Auditor is responsible for risk-based internal audit activities, guiding interviews, documenting results, and presenting findings to management. The role emphasizes IT controls, cloud tech, data governance, and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field
• 4–6 years banking or auditing experience
• Knowledge of ITGCs/ITACs and SDLC
• Knowledge of COSO, COBIT, NIST, SOX, PCI DSS
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Lead client interviews and document results via narratives and flowcharts
• Assess control design and efficiency across technology platforms
• Design and execute testing strategies using data analytics
• Identify internal control weaknesses and root causes
• Guide junior team members to achieve goals
• Present audit issues to Management with remediation recommendations
• Develop risk assessment and project management skills
