Windwalker Group is a Washington-based IT and security solutions firm seeking a seasoned IT Project Manager to lead federal programs. The role requires managing high-level projects, aligning with federal guidelines, and delivering results in both traditional and Agile environments.

The position is Hybrid, located in the Washington, D.C., Denver, CO, or Albuquerque, NM area, and demands an active clearance (Q or TS/SCI), PMP, and 5+ years of Federal PM experience.

• Active clearance (Q or TS/SCI) is required.
• Minimum of five years of hands-on IT project management in the Federal Government.
• PMP certification is required.
• Strong oral and written communication in English.
• Experience managing projects with both waterfall and Agile methodologies in a Federal setting.
• Experience working in a matrixed organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, and Visio.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the single point of contact for Federal IT Program Managers and coordinate projects.
• Oversee IT projects following waterfall and Agile life cycles.
• Manage schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables per PMO standards.
• Create project artifacts (charters, plans, schedules, requirements, reports).
• Collaborate across matrixed teams to allocate resources and ensure execution.
• Produce documentation and presentations using MS Office tools.
• Communicate updates and recommendations to senior leaders.
• Apply strategic thinking, multi-tasking, negotiation, and time management to drive success.

This role involves managing high-level IT projects, ensuring alignment with federal guidelines, and driving successful outcomes within a matrixed environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering results in both traditional and Agile project environments.

Location: Hybrid position from the Washington, D.C., Denver, CO, or Albuquerque, NM.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the single point of contact for customers' Federal IT Program Managers, ensuring seamless communication and project coordination.
• Oversee and execute IT projects following both traditional waterfall and Agile life cycle methodologies.
• Effectively manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations.
• Develop clear, complete project management artifacts (charters, plans, schedules, requirements, and reports) in accordance with PMO standards and lifecycle processes.
• Collaborate across matrixed teams to coordinate resources and ensure successful project execution.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, and Visio skills to create and manage project documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Communicate effectively with senior leaders, delivering updates, insights, and recommendations.
• Leverage expertise in strategic thinking, multi-tasking, negotiation, conflict management, and time management to drive project success.

Qualifications Required:

• Clearance: Must possess an active Q clearance or TS/SCI.
• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on IT project management experience in the Federal Government, including projects utilizing both waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Certifications: Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Skills:
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with fluency in English.
• Experience working within a matrixed organizational structure.
• Proven ability to plan and execute complex programs to achieve defined goals.
• Intermediate to expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, and Visio.
• Strong skills in strategic thinking, negotiation, conflict management, time management, and planning.

Preferred:

• Additional certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PRINCE2, or SAFe Agile certification.
• Experience managing IT projects in a government or defense-related environment.
• Knowledge of federal IT standards, policies, and frameworks.
