Humana Inc. is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to oversee complex system projects and programs, assemble and lead cross‑functional teams, manage risks, and coordinate stakeholder partnerships.

The role emphasizes strategic IT leadership and program execution to deliver long‑term business value. The position requires experience with SDLC, IT product selection, design, and implementation in regulated industries, plus strong executive communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT project management experience.
• 3+ years delivering concurrent complex technical initiatives end-to-end.
• 1+ years with technical product selection, design, and IT solution implementation, preferably in health, finance, or other highly regulated industries.
• Excellent communication including executive level
• 3+ years' experience with SDLC Project Management
• Comfortable analyzing strategic, non-binary project scenarios.

Become a part of our caring community The Senior IT Project Manager oversees various system projects and/or programs of a highly complex nature. The Senior IT Project Manager work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Senior IT Project Manager assembles and leads project team, identifies appropriate resources needed, and develops schedules to ensure timely completion of project. Often actively manages stakeholder partnerships and mitigates risks. Familiar with the system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. When managing programs, oversees the interdependencies and integration of interrelated projects, and sets strategies and leads program execution to deliver longer term business value. Can possess specialized knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) frameworks used to manage risks and issues unique to technology projects. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Has expertise in managing highly demanding efforts and executive level leadership visibility. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or a related field. 5+ years of IT project management experience 3+ experience delivering concurrent complex technical initiatives end‑to‑end 1+ years' experience with technical product selection, design, and IT solution implementation preferrably in health, finance, or other highly regulated industries Excellent communication including executive level 3+ years' experience with SDLC Project Management Must be comfortable working on projects that are not black and white and can analyze situations from a strategic lense.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Business Administration Longevity working in data warehouse, decision support and reporting system environments Working knowledge of Azure DevOps and Jira Align executive information systems and statistical software packages Comprehensive knowledge of development languages, tools, and utilities. Six Sigma and/or Project Management Institute certification Experience in the health solutions industry

Work at Home Requirements

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

$104,000 - $143,000 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
