Job summary

Genius Road, LLC seeks a Sr. IT Project Manager to lead complex IT and business initiatives in Austin, TX. The role requires planning, directing, and coordinating projects from initiation through completion with governance compliance.

The ideal candidate has PMP certification, 8+ years of experience in large-scale IT projects, and strong stakeholder management. Onsite work four days a week; hybrid or remote arrangements are not indicated.

Qualifications

• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.
• Knowledge of PMI/PMBOK, Agile, and Hybrid approaches.
• 8+ years of experience managing large-scale IT or business transformation projects in enterprise environments.
• Experience leading IT system implementations, enterprise applications, or data management projects.
• Experience developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across technical and business teams.
• Experience with risk management, issue tracking, change control, and governance.
• Strong communication skills including executive-level reporting and presentations.
• Hands-on use of project management tools like Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira.
• Experience with governance, procurement requirements, and government procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, risk, and communications.
• Define objectives, deliverables, milestones, and success criteria with stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional teams, vendors, and business units to ensure project success.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and elevate issues for remediation.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and executive reporting for transparency.
• Manage scope changes through change control while maintaining governance.
• Oversee vendor performance and ensure contract deliverables are met.
• Ensure adherence to governance standards and procurement requirements.
• Maintain thorough project documentation and closeout activities.
