Job summary

Santa Clara County Health Plan is seeking an IT Technical Program Manager to lead complex technology initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, resources, timelines, and quality standards. This role bridges technical and business teams and oversees projects on the IT Roadmap and backlog.

The PM will coordinate cross-functional teams, develop requirements, monitor progress, and drive effective communications, risk management, and stakeholder engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in management, healthcare, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum ten years of project management experience.
• Experience with healthcare IT systems, including EHRs or related platforms.
• Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare regulatory requirements preferred.
• PM certification and working knowledge of project methodologies are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage medium to large-scale IT projects from framing to execution.
• Develop and monitor project work plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Communicate status to IT and business stakeholders and executives.
• Manage vendor relationships and assess performance against standards.
• Support change management and operational design for health plan processes.
• Identify and resolve project issues and escalate when needed.
