Job summary

Cook Systems is seeking a Senior IT Project/Program Manager to oversee full SDLC-driven projects in Florida. You will direct cross-functional teams, align with business stakeholders, and report to CIO/CTO to drive strategic IT outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in IT/business roles, demonstrated leadership, and strong governance of project lifecycles. This full-time position offers growth with a veteran-owned firm focused on technology excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/IS or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years IT/business experience.
• At least 3 years leading large cross-functional teams.
• Advanced knowledge of SDLC, QA, PM disciplines/processes.
• Proven ability to provide strategic direction and accountability for IT results.
• Strong leadership and mentoring ability.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop project management infrastructure and methodologies.
• Manage and ensure the quality of deliverables through a methodology-driven quality plan.
• Oversee the project completion process through customer acceptance.
• Collaborate with business unit managers and form alliances on projects and operational decisions.
• Resolve scheduling requirements/conflicts and clarify vendor contracts.
• Provide leadership to cross-functional teams and influence senior-level management and key stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor junior management staff and senior technical staff.
• Report frequently to a Chief Information Officer or Chief Technology Officer.
