Job summary

Kentro in McLean, VA is seeking a Senior IT Manager to lead our corporate IT operations, security, and end-user support in a hybrid role based at our McLean office. You will manage the IT team, budgets, and vendor relationships.

This hands-on leadership role ensures compliance with ISO/NIST standards and federal requirements, overseeing Microsoft 365, Azure, and identity management while guiding incident response and business continuity.

Qualifications

8+ years IT experience with leadership or management.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure.
Understanding of identity/access management and security controls.
ISO/NIST compliance experience and audits helpful.
Budget, vendor, and project management skills.
Clear communication and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead IT support/infrastructure team; manage workload and hiring.
Escalation point for incidents and operational decisions.
Own budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement.
Drive ITSM maturity and process improvements.
Oversee Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Purview, Exchange/SharePoint, and Azure.
Enforce identity/access policies, MFA, SSO, and endpoint compliance.
Oversee network security controls and patch management.
Lead incident response, disaster recovery, and BC planning.
Ensure ISO, NIST, and regulatory compliance; support audits.
