Job summary

The role reports to an Audit Manager and requires 2–4 years of relevant experience, CPA/CISA/CIA desirable, and proficiency in MS Office and audit tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration required.
• CPA, CISA or CIA certification desirable.
• Internal audit knowledge (COSO, internal controls).
• MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, advanced Excel, Access).
• Audit management tools (TeamMate, ACL, SAS) experience.
• 2–4 years relevant experience in financial services or public accounting.

Responsibilities

• Identify key risk areas and propose appropriate controls to mitigate risks.
• Perform walkthroughs of processes and conduct audit testing.
• Design internal audit procedures and work programs based on data analytics and risk assessments.
• Assist in audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and procedures.
• Discuss findings and provide recommendations to management and report significant issues to senior management.
• Prepare audit issues and reports in line with audit plan and methodology.
• Monitor timely implementation of management actions from audit reports.
• Develop continuous auditing techniques and process improvements.
• Monitor trends in internal audit.
• Assist in ad-hoc investigations and reviews as requested.
• Mentor and coach staff auditors.
• Adhere to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration
