Job summary

FedTec is seeking a Senior IT Auditor to support audit, compliance, and risk management initiatives in Virginia. The role focuses on IT and operational audits, control evaluation, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.

Based in Richmond, VA (onsite), the position requires 5+ years of audit experience, strong knowledge of GAAS/IIA/ISACA/US GAAP, and proven independence in planning and executing audits. Excellent communication and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in internal/external IT auditing, internal controls, or compliance.
• Experience as a Senior Auditor.
• Bachelor’s degree as listed.
• Knowledge of GAAS, IIA, ISACA, and US GAAP requirements.
• Ability to plan and execute audits autonomously.
• Ability to analyze processes and controls for improvements.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Proficient with Excel and Office tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute IT and operational audits for governance, risk, and controls.
• Evaluate internal controls and assess risks to drive improvements.
• Provide actionable recommendations to strengthen governance and risk management.
• Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders and follow up on remediation.
• Work independently and manage audit projects within timelines.
