Job summary

Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced IT Audit leader to guide risk-based IT and information security audits, including ITGCs, cybersecurity, data governance, and third-party risk. The role is based in Vienna, VA and offers leadership across multiple audit engagements.

You will direct multiple concurrent engagements, manage audit teams, coordinate risk assessments, and deliver high-quality findings to senior management while promoting data analytics and innovative audit techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, technology management or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in IT audit with risk-based auditing techniques.
• Experience with governance and security frameworks such as FFIEC, COBIT, COSO, NIST and ISO.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience engaging stakeholders across multiple levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IT and information security audit teams across ITGCs, cybersecurity, privacy, data governance, and third‑party risk.
• Direct multiple concurrent engagements, set scope, and guide testing and issue validation.
• Participate in enterprise risk assessments and annual work planning.
• Review deliverables for accuracy, clarity, and timeliness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive remediation and ensure regulatory alignment.
