Job summary

AutoZone is seeking a Senior IT Auditor to lead planning, execution, and reporting of IT audits and advisory projects. You will interact with IT and business leaders to drive risk mitigation and stay current with IT changes.

You will coach audit staff, manage audit projects end-to-end, and collaborate with AutoZone leadership to enhance IT processes and controls, while communicating findings and recommendations to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in MIS, CS, CE, Accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years of IT audit (internal/external) and/or IT consulting experience.
• CISA preferred; CIA or other relevant certifications a plus.
• Ability to plan, organize and lead audit projects.
• Ability to discuss audit issues with management and provide business-focused recommendations.
• Proficient in IT SOX, ITGCs, and Application Controls.
• Familiar with IIA/ISACA Standards, COSO and IT control frameworks (COBIT, NIST, ITIL).
• Knowledge of SAP and data analysis tools (Excel, Python, BigQuery/Looker, SQL) is a plus.

Job description

The Senior IT Auditor role works in a dynamic team-oriented environment and will be required to plan, supervise and execute Audit Committee approved IT audits, process/operational audits, and advisory projects. The Senior IT Auditor must be able to effectively interact with IT and business leadership to drive risk mitigation and to stay abreast of IT operational changes and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Leadership: Coach, train and supervise audit staff performing both IT audit and other advisory and assurance projects
• Audit Project Management: Leading all aspects of an audit project including planning, risk assessment, control identification, testing, issue identification, recommendation development, and reporting
• Collaboration: Working together with AutoZone leadership to assist in identifying opportunities to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness of IT processes and strengthen controls
• Relationship Building: Liaising with IT leadership to provide ongoing advisory support on key technology initiatives
• Application Audits: Performing system pre- and post-implementation audits and auditing key system functionality and systematic controls
• Stakeholder Engagement: Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with management, external auditors, and other partners to further develop Company knowledge and auditing skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Accounting, or related curriculum
• Three to five years of directly related experience in IT Audit (internal or external) and/or IT consulting, public accounting, or professional services industry
• CISA certification preferred; CIA or other relevant certifications a plus
• Ability to plan, organize and lead the completion of audit projects
• Ability to effectively and confidently discuss audit issues and recommendations with management and develop business-focused and value added recommendations
• Proficient in IT SOX compliance, IT General Controls (ITGCs), and Application Controls
• Familiar with internal audit principles (IIA/ISACA Standards, and COSO) and IT control frameworks (COBIT, NIST, ITIL, etc.)
• Knowledge of SAP system and proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., MS Excel, Python, BigQuery/Looker, SQL) is a plus
