Job summary

SOSI is hiring an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to secure mission-critical IT operations at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Honolulu. You will own the RMF lifecycle, assess vulnerabilities, and implement resilient controls across systems used by 5,000+ users in the Pacific theater.

Ideal candidates have an active SECRET clearance, DoD protocol fluency, and experience in security audits, reporting to leadership with clear, executive-level insights.

Qualifications

• Active SECRET clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 4+ years of related experience
• DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant (Security+ CE, CCNA, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP)
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53r5, RMF, EO 14028, and M-22-09
• Experience with eMASS
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in formulating a security program and policies for the assigned area
• Maintain secure systems for classified processing and handle administration and security auditing
• Develop and supervise guidelines for information systems security
• Manage eMASS packages with security authorizations
• Coordinate inspections, tests, and reviews of information system security
• Contribute expertise to security incident response and asset protection
• Apply ACAS to support patch and vulnerability management
• Ensure STIG reviews and quarterly updates
• Enforce Configuration Management for hardware/software use
• Coordinate external interconnections and approvals
• Maintain knowledge of system functions and security measures
• Manage information security continuous monitoring plan
• Record and report vulnerabilities and POA&Ms to AO/DAO
• Evaluate changes impacting security authorization
