Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Cyber Security / Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support federal modernization initiatives and protect mission-critical information systems. This on-site role provides security oversight, compliance monitoring, risk management, and security advisory support across complex enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, ISSO support, information assurance, or security engineering.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools, security control validation, system hardening, identity and access management, logging, and auditing.
• Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity frameworks, compliance requirements, risk management practices, and continuous monitoring programs.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity governance efforts, ensuring compliance with federal security frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Maintain security documentation including SSPs, POA&Ms, control evidence, and audit artifacts.
• Conduct continuous monitoring activities, vulnerability assessments, remediation tracking, and security reporting.
• Partner with engineering, cloud, DevSecOps, QA, and operations teams to implement security best practices throughout the system lifecycle.
• Support accreditation activities, incident response efforts, risk management initiatives, and leadership reporting on security posture.

• Partner with engineering, cloud, DevSecOps, QA, and operations teams to implement security best practices throughout the system lifecycle
• Support accreditation activities, incident response efforts, risk management initiatives, and leadership reporting on security posture

Required Qualifications for the Senior Cyber Security / Information System Security Officer (ISSO) include:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting federal modernization, defense, or national security programs
• Familiarity with AWS cloud environments
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipeline security, and automated security scanning
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, or equivalent

Compensation for the Senior Cyber Security / Information System Security Officer (ISSO) include:

Salary Range:Competitive salary depending on experience
