Microchip Technology Inc. in Boulder, CO, is seeking a Senior Engineer II- Information Security Systems (ISSE) to design, implement, and sustain cybersecurity across complex enterprise and mission systems.

This role ensures RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and related standards compliance while troubleshooting Linux/Windows servers, Cisco devices, and enterprise storage. It also leads continuous monitoring and remediation efforts.

Qualifications

• Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI poly required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, CS, or related field.
• 7+ years in cybersecurity engineering with NIST RMF expertise.
• Experience troubleshooting Linux/Windows servers, Cisco devices, and enterprise storage.
• Hands-on with Tenable/ACAS, Splunk/ELK, HBSS/ESS for compliance and monitoring.
• Travel 3–5 days, less than once per quarter.

Responsibilities

• Security Engineering & Architecture: Design and integrate security controls into system and network architectures.
• Technical Troubleshooting & Support: Troubleshoot Linux/Windows servers, endpoints, Cisco devices, and shared storage; ensure compliance.
• Continuous Monitoring: Implement and sustain continuous monitoring, vulnerability scanning, patch compliance, and SIEM analysis.
• Conduct technical security assessments using Tenable, DISA STIGs, CSO Benchmarks, and NIST guidelines; prioritize risk and drive remediation.
