Job summary

L3Harris is seeking an experienced Information Security Systems Engineer (ISSE) to join the Palm Bay team, focusing on secure designs and RMF-based authorization. You will ensure systems meet security, compliance, and mission requirements across environments, and prepare ATO documentation to support security authorizations.

The role requires TS/SCI with CI Poly, IAT II within 3 months, and experience strengthening secure systems throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience; graduate degree with 4+ years; or 10 years without degree.
Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly is required.
IAT Level II minimum within 3 months of start (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
Security certifications such as Security+ or CISSP are preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare and manage RMF-based ATO documentation to achieve security authorization.
Design, integrate, and maintain secure on-premises architectures.
Apply cybersecurity principles across the system development lifecycle.
Analyze requirements to derive security controls and technical solutions.
Perform security assessments, gap analyses, and risk evaluations.
Identify vulnerabilities and support remediation efforts across disciplines.
Support audits and customer assessments with technical evidence.
Communicate risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
